My work moves between negotiated encounter and human trace.

I make photographs of people through conversation and introductions, and quieter photographs of rooms, roads, objects, landscapes and things left behind. Photography offers a temporary orientation within confusion: a way of moving towards the world while remaining conscious of the distance the camera creates.
